A bold Georgian amber wine with the soul of tradition.
A Georgian amber wine made from 100% Rkatsiteli grapes and vinified in traditional qvevri, this 2023 vintage by Chito’s Gvino reflects the full strength and character of ancient Georgian winemaking. The wine underwent fermentation and maceration in contact with skins, seeds, and stems, then aged for seven months in buried clay vessels, allowing the earth to shape both flavour and energy.
This is not a shy amber wine. Aromas of tobacco leaf, wild herbs, and dried spices rise from the glass. On the palate, you’ll discover flavours of dry grass, anise, and a subtle finish of beeswax—layered, tactile, and contemplative. With its deep golden hue and dense texture, it evokes the power of sunlight held just before dusk.
Decanting is essential, as the wine evolves beautifully in the glass, revealing its complexity over time.
