Orkoli

A luminous Georgian amber wine from Imereti’s ancient terroir.

This elegant 2022 amber Krakhuna wine is made from 100% Krakhuna, an indigenous Georgian grape grown in the hills of II Sviri, Imereti. Produced by Orkoli Winery, it follows the traditional Imeretian qvevri method, using partial skin contact—about one-third of the must undergoes fermentation with skins, resulting in a wine that balances structure with freshness.

Krakhuna is prized for its natural acidity, and here it shines in a softly textured wine with aromas of dried apricot, tropical fruit, and ripe orchard notes. Gentle tannins provide structure without overpowering the palate, making it an inviting introduction to skin-contact wines for both curious newcomers and seasoned natural wine lovers.

Crafted without fining or filtration, this wine reflects the rhythm of Imereti’s land, heritage, and hands. A versatile companion at the table, it adapts effortlessly from rustic meals to refined pairings.
