Kisi and Khikhvi

Kisi and Khikhvi are rare and exotic representatives of Georgian viticulture that are still found in very limited quantities. Kisi, grown in Kakheti, is used to create aromatic and balanced white wines with notes of ripe fruits, citrus, and honey. Khikhvi offers a rich palette of flavors with accents on tropical fruits and flowers, making it ideal for experimentation with aging.

Mtsvane, which translates to “green,” is another rare Kakhetian variety that is often blended with Rkatsiteli to create complex and elegant white wines.

Tsolikauri is a popular white variety from the Imereti region, known for its bright acidity and aromas of green apples, citrus, and wildflowers. It is used to produce light and refreshing wines, perfect for hot summer days.

Krakhuna is an outstanding white wine made from the indigenous grape of the same name, predominantly grown in the Imereti region. The wine has a rich golden color and a complex bouquet of aromas, featuring dominant notes of ripe fruits like pear and apple, along with subtle hints of honey and vanilla. Krakhuna’s flavor harmoniously combines freshness and pleasant acidity, making it an excellent choice both as an aperitif and as a pairing for fish dishes and cheeses.

Chinuri is a variety traditionally used for producing sparkling wines, characterized by delicate floral aromas and refreshing acidity.

Chkhaveri, which grows in the Guria region, is unique for its pink berries and is used to create semi-sweet and dessert wines with notes of ripe berries and tropical fruits.
